What is SPF?

SPF describes hosts authorized to use a domain in particular SMTP identities. A record by itself cannot tell you whether a particular message passes SPF.

The 10 lookup limit

The limit applies to DNS-causing terms on an actual evaluation path. A static scan cannot know which branches a sender IP will take.
